About Maharashtra Post Office:
There are 41 postal divisions within the circle that cover the financial districts of the states of Maharashtra and Goa. Each Postal Division is headed by a Post Superintendent (SPO) or a Chief Post Superintendent (SSPO). There are 7 main divisions within the circle, each headed by the Superintendent (SRM) or a Chief Superintendent (SSRM) and an automatic mail processing center. Auxiliary units that serve the mail include three Motor mail units, four postal deposits and a regional stamp deposit. There are 12856 post offices within the circle as of 03.31.2014.
