So I opened my inbox this afternoon to be greeted with a new Christmas song from Canadian songstress Madeline Merlo.
Now I am not a big Christmas music lover but having listened to a couple of Christmas albums already this week I would have to say this song sticks out as my favorite thus far this season.
For those not familiar with Miss Merlo, Madeline released her first EP this past July. Having already released 2 singles off the EP her first being Sinking Like A Stone and the 2nd being the more recent Alive. Both songs are definitely radio friendly and sound like something you may here from one of the big name artists south of the border. Madeline has also had the opportunity to work with Canadian Country music superstar Tim Hicks on Ready to say Goodnight which is on Tim’s most recent release 5:01. Madeline’s Christmas tune Jolly Ol’Redneck hit radio this week and I am sure we will hear it a ton over the next couple weeks leading up to Christmas.
