MAC are so well known for their lipsticks and for good reason too, with such a lovely range of colours to choose from and the great quality that you get with these lippies. Although the range is big, there are a few shades that seem to crop up a lot when people talk about their favourites and Shy Girl just so happens to be one of these colours. I actually managed to snap up this shade from a blog sale a few months ago after reading so many great things about it, but unfortunately I just haven't been getting as much wear out of it as I'd hoped.
Shy Girl is a peach toned nude that gets so much love from a lot of people out there, but I'm sad to say that it just doesn't suit my skin tone at all (boohoo). The golden peach tone of this lipstick doesn't go well against my pale skin and I've come to the conclusion that me and warm toned nudes just aren't a good match unfortunately. If anyone else has had this problem and is looking for a good pink toned nude then I'd highly recommend Hue. Although it doesn't suit my colouring, I still think that Shy Girl is a lovely color and have seen it look so great on so many other people. As always the Cremesheen formula from MAC makes the lipstick a joy to use as it's very creamy and moisturising, and I'm also a big fan of the signature vanilla scent.
I'm now on a mission to try and make this color work for me with the help of lipgloss, although I can already see this lipstick getting lost at the back of my drawer again. You never know, you might even see it pop up in a blog sale at some point (if anyone's interested in it of course).
You can find the MAC lipsticks online or at MAC counters for £15.
