It was barely mid-morning and the sun was already doing a good job getting South Yorkshire warm before we left home heading to Sharrow Vale Market for more Beaumont Bag fun! I was sweating just sat down. Attractive. We arrived at our stall location an hour before the market officially began and it was already heaving as the locals were out in force catchy the morning sun and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.

It took forever to set the stall up as there was a constant flow of people showing interest in the bags and that didn't stop all day. As the afternoon went on it just got busier and busier, there was a buzz in the air, it was one of those perfect afternoons, at times the heat felt a little uncomfortable at times but that was just because I was out in it for a good five hours, I'm not complaining, I love summer. There was plenty of food stalls spread across the road but it was, Yee Kwan, selling super tasty handcrafted ice cream who had a lengthy queue for the whole afternoon.

There was a real community spirit felt as local butchers and farmers sold the delicious products at very reasonable prices (we took home some venison burgers and sausages to BBQ, mega scrummy!) and there was all sorts of crafts, clothes and bits and bobs to browse and buy. Plenty of people left with a Beaumont Bag in their hand too, also a good thing! The only dampener was seeing the sky blacken as a plastic recycling factory at the other side of city caught fire, it was mental how much smoke there was, it took over what was a lovely blue sky. Oh, and we were placed right in front of a tent which was either occupied by a DJ playing some cool soul tunes way too load, irritating or a lad with an acoustic guitar totally killing the up beat vibes with down beat songs.

This was by-far my favorite of these fetes/fairs/markets so far this summer. This Saturday and Sunday you'll find Beaumont Bags at Endcliffe Park as part of Tramlines.
