Last weekend I found myself back at one of the most distinctive Dorset Wedding Venues for Katarina & Nicholas’ Lulworth Castle Wedding.
Photographers are often faced with limited light with winter weddings, often needing to shelter from the elements.
Last weekend, was certainly one of those days where good shelter was needed. A Dorset winter wedding with howling winds and heavy showers somewhat prevented us from enjoying the surrounding castle grounds, but it didn’t dampen anyones spirits!
Lulworth Castle is a beautiful wedding setting. Its restoration providing a large open space allowing natural light to fill the two main halls, making my job as an available light photographer considerably easier.
Katarina & Nicholas had a Catholic church service in the estates private St Mary’s Chapel, followed by a reception within the main castle.
A wonderful celebration with family and friends drawn from the UK, Slovakia and the US or as Katarina put it, a gathering of the United Nations!
I hope you enjoy this winter wedding preview of their day, more to follow shortly!
If you are planning your own wedding and like my style of photography, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
