At least six people were killed and 19 others injured in a blast exploded near Pakistan Peoples Party’s convey in the Baba Gam area of Lower Dir on Tuesday.
Zahir Shah Khan, brother of PPP candidate Mohammad Zamin Khan Advocate, who is contesting elections from PK-96 constituency, was also among the dead.
According to police, Zahir Shah was on his way after attending a corner meeting when the remote-controlled blast targeted his vehicle, which was completely destroyed.
The dead and injured have been rushed to the nearby hospitals.
