by Emma Draper for Love Bridal boutique
Jonny and I have always taken great pride in the connection we make with our brides (and grooms) and their families too. It’s never just about being the person that sells them a dress, does their make-up or takes their photos. It’s all the added extras and being somebody that they really want to have involved in their whole wedding planning and to be there on their wedding day too.
We’re thrilled to bits when brides come to us after their wedding to thank us for everything we’ve done and say such lovely things to us.
It’s this that forms the foundations for what Love Bridal is all about – building connections with our brides and getting them to buy into us, our brand and what we have to offer them. As an appointment-only boutique, we will always focus on the experience, providing one-to-one consultations where the bride will have the boutique completely to themselves to find their dream dress and indulge their family and friends at the same time in the luxurious surroundings.
In addition to this, we offer an extensive knowledge about the industry and suppliers available to them, and this is always really appreciated by our brides. We have spent a lot of time getting to know other like-minded businesses and suppliers and will only recommend the best of the best, and those who we know our brides will love as much as we do. From experience, I know brides love working with great wedding professionals who not only know all there is to know about their particular area of expertise, but who really know what’s happening in the industry. It’s not just enough nowadays to say you sell wedding dresses, so being able to ask where a bride is getting married and for me to know that venue, or to ask which florist she’s using and for me to have worked with them, really reassures her that she’s surrounding herself with top wedding suppliers and is really going to be looked after. It also helps me to understand what kind of a day they are going to be having, and what kind of a dress will work for the bride and their whole vision for their day. It’s all about going that extra mile.
Wedding dress designers at Love Bridal boutique
Choosing dress designers was a very exciting time for us and we spent a lot of time talking with and meeting up with designers in the lead up to The White Gallery in May. It was vital that the designers (both dress and accessory) were a perfect fit with our brand and what our brides would be looking for. We saw a considered selection of designers along the way and then eventually we managed to make our decision. We’re delighted with our final selection and we have already built great relationships with our designers, which I believe is vital for providing the absolute best dress collections and service for our brides. Just seeing all of our dresses come together at the shoot was completely magical and reinforces that we’ve made the right decisions and will have a great selection on offer to our brides!
Mia Mia, by Alan Hannah
Our first label, Mia Mia, by Alan Hannah offers a range of light and pretty gowns with beautiful touches of beading – there are a great range of shapes in this collection from clean A-line gowns such as the Alana gown, to more fluid slinkier gowns all with their own very beautiful detailing.

The Intuzuri Costura collection at Love Bridal
The Intuzuri Costura collection offers some seriously striking gowns constructed from the finest Chantilly laces, duchess satins and silk taffetas combined with intricate lace appliqués, hand-beading and intricate bodice detail, as seen on the beautiful Adelphi gown to styles such as their more unusual feather-bodiced Arianna. Their collection includes some classic shapes from full A-line skirts and long dreamy trains to figure-hugging fishtails.

Terry Fox at Love Bridal boutique
Terry Fox provides a more unusual selection of gowns stretching from gorgeously glamorous to simply elegant, or quirky, fun and vintage with some of her more elaborate and theatrical gowns. Accessories are also available to compliment these gowns, for example one of her signature gowns “Truth, Beauty, Freedom, Love”, the words of which are fabulously embroidered onto the dress, can also come with a matching bag or you could even get one for each of your bridesmaids with their names stitched on to them too! Sooo glamorous! For the bride who wants a more slinky gown, dresses such as Flimsical or Lovely Lisa in their soft lace and dusky tones are perfect choices.

The Heritage Range by Balbier/Wyatt at Love Bridal
Our fourth and final designer (for now at least!) is the Heritage Range by Balbier/Wyatt. Now, many of you will already be familiar with Amanda Wyatt and her daughter Charlotte Balbier, but this collection is a new collaboration between mother and daughter and also Amanda’s father (Charlotte’s grandfather) Alan Wyatt. This is an industry first and we are delighted to be amongst the first and only stockists of this collection. This collection is very dear to our hearts as we’ve been lucky enough to get to know Alan, Amanda and Charlotte over the years so it’s so special to us that they will now be a part of Love Bridal Boutique.

To compliment our beautiful dress collection, we have handpicked a selection of accessory designers which we knew would work well with the gowns. Vivien Sheriff is a very exciting designer for us as her pieces are so unique. All pieces are handmade using fine quality natural materials to produce iconic and instantly recognisable signature pieces. A particular favorite at our shoot was the fabulous Rainflower flower/birdcage in a gorgeous dusky pink tone which really worked well as a statement piece with a more traditional A-line or with a short fifties style gown. For the bride looking for a more sparkly statement headpiece, we have carefully selected some stunning pieces from Halo&Co. Using the finest materials from Swarovski crystals and stones to hand decorated 18 carat gold plated metal work, there really is something for every bride from a more traditional tiara shape (which is making a real comeback!) to the side headpieces which are still extremely popular with today’s bride. We will also be stocking Harriet Wilde shoes which compliment our collection beautifully. A luxury contemporary and more edgy brand of shoes with a vintage feel, you can choose from simpler more traditional satin styles embellished with beautiful clips to lacy Mary Janes to crystal or floral decorated stiletto heels – I was in complete shoe heaven when making our selection!
