Today I would be reviewing Lotus Professional Whitening & Brightening Face Wash. I wanted to do this review today itself as I’m very excited to start using my new face wash (Sebamed Cleansing Foam) which I bought after reading many good reviews for my acne marks and to treat pigmentation on my face. I will be doing the review on that face wash after a month when I’ll be sure what all it does and how good it is in treating acne marks and pigmentation but for now just read my review on this Lotus face wash..

Product Description:

PHYTORx Whitening & Brightening Face Wash is infused with potent organic ingredients that deep cleanses the skin and prevents melanin production that causes skin darkening. Amla berry, Lychee & Punarnava root extracts provides a unique potent formula that reveals refreshingly brighter and glowing skin.

Active Organic Ingredients:

Amla Berry: effective, skin lightening agent.

Lychee: anti-oxidant, boosts moisture & promotes healthy skin.

Directions:

Dampen face and neck. Place a small amount of PHYTORx & Whitening & Brightening Face Wash on tips of fingers and gently lather into entire face (including the eye and neck area) using small circular movements. Rinse with clear water. Follow it up with PHYTORx Whitening & Brightening Serum and Whitening & Brightening Creme.

My Experience with Lotus Professional Whitening & Brightening Face Wash:

This face wash comes in a white opaque tube packaging with a silver flip top cap. When I first got this face wash, I was so excited to try it just because I have tried almost every product from the Lotus Professional’s range and I immediately skipped using my current face wash and bumped into this one. The first day I used it, I noticed one small bump on my right cheek which is more prone to breakouts then the left one, I panicked thinking that not again I can face this situation of dealing with breakouts. Still I thought to continue this face wash and used it again the next day, again I noticed one more bump on my right cheek so all in all two bumps in two days with the same face wash. I still continued using it as I wanted to be sure as to how damage it could do to my skin and perhaps I had to reach to a solution of its so-called brightening and whitening claims, and I couldn’t tell how good it is in brightening or whitening skin in just two or three days. You see how much effort we put in reviewing products!! The fragrance, it smells like Chik shampoo if you have used it or have smelt it or like some old Sunsilk shampoo, to me the smell is very irritating and weird.

Now, I have been using this face wash for almost 8-9 days and I’m ready to spill the beans about this face wash. First things first, the consistency which is I think is way too worse and quite weird. It is too flowy and I can’t even get hold of it while washing my face, it flows everywhere and till the time I get it to my face, I have nothing left on my hands, it kind of slips everywhere and if I’m holding the tube upside down while I wash my face, I notice my sink gets filled with this face wash, so half of it got wasted there which I’m happy about (I couldn’t afford to use it all) You’ll know why!!
It is greyish in color and does not lather properly. It takes too much time and effort in rinsing off and when you have rinsed it off, you will notice that your skin is too dry and stretchy. It’s a total waste of money product and does nothing as it claims to and I even noticed that my face is getting quite dull instead of brightening since the day I started using it. And I wanted to review it today coz I’m ending to use it today itself as I’m too excited for my new face wash (Sebamed Cleansing Foam) which I was planning to get from so long and finally now when I’ve got it, I’ve planned to stick with it and not test any new face wash now. So I will not be reviewing much face washes now, I’m trying to stick with the Sebamed one!!

Pros of Lotus Professional Whitening & Brightening Face Wash:

• Affordable.
• Claims to be preservative free, free from artificial fragrance and color, which I doubt

Cons of Lotus Professional Whitening & Brightening Face Wash:

• Does not lather properly.
• Weird consistency that is hard to even get hold of.
• False claims.
• Does not brighten or whiten the skin.
• Makes my skin dry and stretchy.
• Very weird smell.
• Takes time to rinse off properly.
• Caused me breakouts (two on the right cheek).

Final Thoughts:

I would say everyone to stay away from this face wash and do not get tempted by its cute white tube and its whitening claims if you spot the tube somewhere in any cosmetic store like I got tempted and just pass it on and rather pick something that is worth spending!!
