Dresses are an easy outfit to throw on for a hot summer’s day yet still looking stylish. The trends for dresses this season are maxi dresses, smock/swing dresses and midi dresses. The maxi dress provides easy comfort, and comes in big floral prints this summer. The smock/swing dress is being seen a lot this season and provides a comfortable look, however it is quirky by being designed above the knee. It is seen in bold floral patterns and block colours which are this seasons main print trends. Midi dresses have also become fashionable this summer – they are very stretchy and adapt to different body shapes and sizes which is ideal for the pregnant women.
Jumpers
Oversized jumpers are a key trend in 2013, this is a perfect design for comfort and flexibility. Pale block colours are being used throughout this trend. This is a garment pregnant women can feel comfortable in whilst feeling fashionable and on trend.
Pants
Skinny jeans are in fashion, and this season sees the use of light pastel colours. Jeans are always a comfortable yet practical choice of clothing for the busy pregnant women. This season has also led to the development of leggings in bold prints, geometric patterns and colours. Leggings are on trend and also easy to slip on and off with various clothing. The peg trouser is an upcoming silhouette, its design consist of a stretch waistband which is perfect for a growing bump.
Skirts
The basic pencil skirt is a key trend this season. However it has been developed this summer by using floral prints and strips. This simple skirt can be worn with any plain coloured top and an easy on trend outfit to pull together.
Swimwear
Women always worry about their beach bodies and what swimwear will be most flattering. The beach wear for pregnant women is getting better and better, with cleverly designed swimwear to accommodate women’s new curves. Lots of bold patterns are being used within tankinis and swimsuits, shapes include mainly halter necks or boob tubes. This is a flattering yet on trend shape, and appropriate for the pregnant women.
