Tahir-ul-Qadri, the Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran chief, has said that there should be no illusion on long march on Islamabad on January 14 and it will be held according to the schedule at any cost.
While addressing to a news conference on Friday, Tahir-ul-Qadri affirmed his resolve to lead the million march. Pointing out Thursday’s massacre in blasts in Quetta and Swat, Tahir-ul-Qadri said government has lost its legal, constitutional and moral right to govern the country.
TMQ leader heaped praise judiciary for quashing the writ petitions against long march. He said long march is the right of the nation.
“The courts declared long-march lawful democratic and according to the fundamental rights provided by the Constitution of Pakistan,….I would request the local and foreign media that they should speak of the judiciary rejecting these writ petitions,” he said, adding MQM has informed him about their segregation from long march. .
The TMQ chief alleged that Punjab government is creating hurdles in the way of long march and said the transporters are forced to return advance money which they had taken from march’s participants.
Tahir-ul-Qadri said neither mosque, nor Imambargah or church are safe in Pakistan. He alleged that federal and the Punjab governments are backing terrorists.
He said if any untoward incident occurred during long march, six people – President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Mininster Raja Pervez Ahsraf, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah – will be responsible for that.
Tahir-ul-Qadri termed his long march as “Hussaini mission” saying he will make a will before his family members today and will advise them that how they should continue his mission.
