In crackling reverence of jazz age subway stations and medieval woodwinds we have “Begin to Begin,” the latest offering from Lone’s upcoming Airglow Fires. “Begin to Begin” is bright and soft; a refreshing piece of digital whimsy in an age of bedroom-smothered electronic darkness. Parts of the track are reminiscent of the kind of music you might find in a latter day Final Fantasy game or soaring along with the cast of Daft Punk’s Discovery anime. There is a definite Disney vibe towards the end of the song that gives it a kind of effervescent warmth; this is a lovely track and hopefully more like it will come from Lone.
