Siân Richards Founder of London Brush Company, has done it again.. Hot off the heels of her widely acclaimed Classic Brush Collection, Richards has designed and created a bestselling VEGAN makeup brush collection, named nouVeau which has taken the Vegan Beauty Market by storm. Richards is an award winning, second generation makeup artist with a passion for bringing back classic quality of the type she grew up with – and inherited – as she watched her father in his makeup rooms as a young kid.
Not to forget Richard’s was one of the winners for the Critics Choice 2012 Best Makeup for Cloud Atlas specially for her six makeup’s on Halle Berry and most notably she made Berry unrecognizable as a WHITE German Jewess.

‘I remember getting Dada’s makeup brushes, they were so beautiful and real works of art themselves’ Richards recalls ‘I moved to Los Angeles and tried to find great makeup brushes, but they were cheap and nasty with sharp spiky hair that shed, or they were really nasty synthetic that made refined blending impossible. I’d grown up in the UK where we had GREAT professional makeup brushes, and so I decided to go back to my roots, hire locally and recreate the quality of mine and my father’s generation.’

That outstanding collection has became known as the ‘London Brush Company Classic’ collection and at its launch at IMATS 2010 was just a total sell out. ‘I knew that there was a need to make great brushes for VEGAN clients’ Richards goes on. ‘ I looked around, found a few that were OK, but nothing special and certainly not innovative or fine blending – a GREAT brush makes blending easy and makeup simple because it finds – and fits – your face. I took a year researching the highest grade vegan hair, which is basically synthetic, but so high brow nowadays that it is like fake fur. I wanted the nouVeau collection to be different to Classic in every way, and so came up with some really exciting brush shapes that no-one else has’. Once again she launched at a makeup show – and she sold out.
