Good morning to you, on this, the final day of the Queensland school holidays. Said with a mop of the brow and an extended exhale. If you are in another state, yet to break for the end of Term, I’m wishing you 2 weeks of all the very best!
To mark the date, I find myself at the Rollerdrome today.

Away from the studio, live blogging ….
If I look like I’m freaking out with the lights and the noise … I am.
Is this really what holiday-mode-parenting expects of us? Subjecting ourselves to the stimulants of flashing lights, loooooood music, buzzing and ding-donging coin operated machines attacking ALL of my senses at once. It’s overload!!! ARRRRGHHHHH.
Thank God for the snack bar serving a decent coffee and for my physiotherapist who has forbidden from strapping on some wheels.
My two big boys are here, gliding and sweeping. Swerving amongst uncoordinated squealing little kiddies and supercool tweenies. I’m watching them and they both have huge smiles and I’m thinking that’s a good thing.
Worth it …… until now.
They’re playing Gangnam Style.
Someone, please shoot me. RIGHT this very minute!
And …… just when I thought things couldn’t get stranger …. I’ve only now had a completely random lady approach me, take a seat at my table (aherrrrm blogging studio) to give me the hard-sale on Amway and the benefits of signing up. Really? At the Rollerdrome?
