In the Lived With Love household, we are a big fan of Little Tikes toys. We find them educating, innovative and fun for Sienna and we are sure we will continue to purchase them in the future. For Sienna's first birthday, we got her the Little Tikes Kitchen. She loves it and it is a great learning toy as well as being fun and interactive. It makes kitchen sounds like saucepans boiling and the sink being filled with bubbles. It has the egg, milk and cheese for them to put in the right shaped holes and the oven and microwave open up. She is currently going through a stage where she loves to open and close things, from doors to her hands, so she has been really enjoying these features. I love how it's bright, but unisex colours means it can be perfect for boys too. It is from ages 6-36 months so will last a good amount of time if you get it more near the beginning of that age range. It's also pretty small compared to some 'proper' kitchen's you can get which is great for our house.
We also have the Little Tikes Stacker Stars, Octopus Bath Toy and Kids Smart Phone.
The Stacker stars we actually use in the bath. They are great for pouring and actually have a small whole in each one so we can 'shower' the rest of Sienna's animal bath toys. We build them up and knock them over so they make a big splash, Sienna finds this the funniest thing in the world! They have definitely been a great addition to our (already overflowing) bath toy collection.
Sienna is a big fan of the iPhone and is actually the object she first learnt to crawl with. She wouldn't move for anything else but put the iPhone down and she was gone! When she was younger she loved to lick the screen (delightful) now she likes to put it up to her ear and pretend she's on the phone.
We bought her this to try and detract the attention from our real, more valuable phones however, this girl knows the difference and once she clicks, likes to throw it down. Never the less it has been played with and created some distraction when we're out. It's a great one for the changing bag or pocket as it fools her for approximately 2 seconds that she has got mummy's phone, not that I try to trick my child by any means.... It has some learning features for as she gets older by asking her to find certain numbers/colours so hopefully she will get a bit more use out of it as she starts to understand the questions.
