Little Lies by Fleetwood Mac.

Posted on the 16 December 2011 by Melodicwisdom

I was always more into Stevie’s songs rather than Christine’s, but she has two of them that I like: Isn’t it Midnight and this one, Little Lies. I don’t listen to this song very often, for some reason it makes me sad, though I have no idea why.

Little Lies was released in August of 1987 from the album, Tango in the Night. It was the third single from the album and their last top 10 hit. The song was composed by Christine McVie and her ex-husband Eddy Quintela. It went to #4 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and #1 (for four weeks) on the Adult Contemporary Chart.

According to songfacts, the lyrics are believed to be about either her break-up with Fleetwood Mac’s John McVie or her relationship with Dennis Wilson of The Beach Boys. She has apparently stated that it’s not about John.
