On Saturday we were playing at the Edinburgh Canal Festival in the afternoon. We finished our set just before the thunderstorms started rolling over the city, and decided to head into town for a few tunes in one of the pubs in town. We settled ourselves in in the usual spot by the door.
Almost as soon as we started playing there was a complete deluge outside, and the High Street turned into an instant river. I was torn between playing and nipping out to take a few photos, but couldn’t resist the snap. So there I was, watching the downpour and lightning, and still able to listen to the session.
Completely unplanned, but definitely ‘Listening with my Eyes Wide Open’!
