LinkedIn; The Most Powerful Networking Site for Professionals

Posted on the 02 February 2015 by Swoopadmin @SwoopStudios

The bulk of my meetings in the past month have had one theme in common; LinkedIn! Many of the connections and meetings I have had recently, have been made through it. I have been doing quite a lot of reading recently as I have too much to catch up on, and in most of the things I read, it seems LinkedIn is the way most successful entrepreneurs are heading towards, and although I already know and use LinkedIn, the more I utilise it, the higher my interest and admiration for this network soars.

I hear you asking ‘why’! Well, think about this statement; “LinkedIn is the World’s largest professional networking site with over 300 million users from 200 countries”!

Is that a statement to make you sit up and take notice or what? This shows you the level of worldwide use and acceptance of this networking platform.

As a business expert in today’s ‘digital’ world, if you are not using LinkedIn as one of your major networking platforms, then I don’t know what you are doing. LinkedIn provides opportunity to connect with other professionals and helps you stay in contact with millions of users. This alone, works wonders for brand marketing and positioning as an industry expert.

One major  influence of LinkedIn is that with its ability to let professionals connect and engage, it does so in a very subtle manner. It’s like handing out your business card to another person and collecting theirs without being forceful or in their face, and it gives you the space to store them for easy recollection or future referencing.

Having a great LinkedIn profile is tantamount to announcing that your business is open to all other users on the network. It tells them you are ready to engage and do business with them, and what’s more, you can reach out to millions of people at the same time.

Do you now begin to see and understand what a powerful tool you have at your disposal? Are you making the most of your LinkedIn profile or headline to attract the right of audience? Does your profile represent your brand’s value proposition or is it just basic and understated, thereby doing nothing to aid in promoting your brand?

In the coming weeks, myself and my team at Swoop Studios, will be looking more into the benefits of using LinkedIn and sharing them with you. So get ready to explore this interesting network with us.

Happy LinkIn-ing!!
