Hello friends,
I hope everyone had a nice weekend filled friendship, family, and some time to relax.
It's warming up, the snow is melting and spring temperatures are teasing us, but Monday's forecast calls for six inches of fresh snow. Snow is an invitation to snowshoe!
Last week I found myself juggling several projects at work, and personal commitments while being distracted with my theme for the year, nesting.
- I signed up for an e-course on interior design and style. This should hold me over until mid-March when I will sign up for a class that I can't wait to take.
- The afghan I started New Years Day is done.
- My office/workspace is almost done and fast becoming my favorite room in our home.
- A visit to the fabric store took hours... I picked out fabric, and found myself absorbed in the pages of how-to books.
Reading: Saturday I posted some books I can't wait to read, adding books to my list at a faster pace than I'm able to read.
This week I'm reading The Splendour Falls, a mix of intrigue and history. I'm excited to dive into this one!
Synopsis: Emily Braden is intrigued by the medieval story of Queen Isabelle, and cannot resist when her cousin Harry, a historian, suggests a trip to the white-walled town of Chinon, nestling in France's Loire Valley. But when Harry vanishes and Emily begins to search for him, she stumbles across another intriguing mystery -- a second Isabelle, a chambermaid during the Second World War, who had her own tragedy, and her own treasure to hide.
As Emily explores the ancient town of labyrinthine tunnels, old enmities, and new loves, she finds herself drawn ever closer to the mysterious Isabelles and their long-kept secrets.
