Hello!!
I just wanted to sit down and write a little catch up post, a bit of a chat and random pictures in no particular order! You will probably know I took a bit of a break from blogging, sometimes everything just comes on top of you and you struggle to balance everything, I lost my inspiration for writing and was so disappointed with a few of my posts that I just stopped and took a break. There is a lot of competitivness in the blogging world and although it's normal to compare your blog to others, I was feeling down about mine and wanted to see if I could recapture my mojo in a way!
So I took a break, remembered why I started blogging and thought about what it was I wanted to change about it, I felt like I didn't write enough personal posts and my writing style had gone way downhill, imagine it like someone has just handed you a piece of paper and although you have lots of ideas in your head of what to draw, you just can't put pen to paper, it was like that for me.
Now i'm back and I have written up a few posts the past few days I've been much much happier with, I no longer feel down about it all and am actually enjoying it again, I have about 15 posts in my drafts which have all been ready to publish for months but after re-reading them I've deleted some and completely re-done others, now I'm feeling much more confident and am looking forward to sharing them with you!
In the midst of all that I also had a chest infection and pulled a muscle in my back, then Abbie had a cold, it was ongoing! But i'm hoping now that all the illnesses are gone for the year and we can enjoy Butlins and Christmas in full health! Fingers crossed!
Today's post is going to be a little picture update, I noticed I was only really posting the 'high quality and best photos', so Ive got some below where most are from my phone, aren't set up and are just natural moments in my life the past few weeks! So here goes the jumbly placed photos for you to get a little catch up on what i've been doing in life lately :)
On Tuesday my birth Dad came down and we all went out for a little bite to eat, we see each other every couple of months so it's nice to build up a proper relationship with him! I was so anxious about going for lunch because we haven't actually taken Abbie out since she was about one, so I didn't know what to expect from her, but considering we are off to Butlins next month, we wanted to get her used to different places and eating out! Despite the fact she didn't want to sit in the highchair, she was happy and content to sit on my lap for the entire time, she didn't ask to get down, she didn't moan, didn't cry, just happily sat still, playing with her surprise eggs and scoffing down her lunch! Safe to say I feel a lot better about going out more now and am actually looking forward to our holiday more knowing that (hopefully) she'll sit like an angel during our meals!
It was also the first time Ben & I had eaten out since we started our diet 7 weeks ago! I ordered myself a goats cheese and onion marmalade panini and OH goodness me, it was heaven! I could've easily eaten another 4! I was pretty good and left the coleslaw though even though I LOVE it! Goats cheese is much much better for you than regular cheese so I was still sticking to my diet and didn't go over on any of my targets for the day either, infact, I was actually below by quite a bit! :)
Gorgeous decor inside now, so sweet and cosy!
We recently got Abbie some Peppa Pig sticker books and she absolutely LOVES them, once she figured out that you don't just peel the stickers off and put them back in the same place, there were lots of pages, she loved putting them on the boats and in the sea! I think they're only £3.99 in WHSmith if anyone is interested!
We took a little trip to Bath last week, it's one of my favorite places and kinda reminds me of being back in London, albeit less manic! There were lots of Christmas decorations up which made me super excited for Christmas! We came across Little Southgate which was a sheltered area with some adorable little shops, especially this little toy shop, Ben begged me not to go in there but I couldn't resist, there were gorgeous dolls houses everywhere, fancy dress costumes, mobiles, dolls and even the sweetest little cafe next door with fairy lights everywhere and yummy food! Will have to stop properly next time we're there!
I won't bore you by talking about all these pictures, but below are some autumnal photos from the past few weeks, we're lucky to have a little park so close to us, so if Abbie's having a restless day or just being a grump, off we hop and she runs off all her steam!
CHEEEEEESE! :D
Lots of posts to come this week, some reviews, some pictures and a Butlins update post too!
Have a great week!
