I was nominated by the lovely Cathy from Red Rose Style to do the Liebster Award, and as it’s the perfect autumn evening with the rain coming down while I’m curled up under a blanket I thought I’d get on with answering the questions set by Cathy.
I’m sure by now we all know how the Liebster Award works, every time I get nominated it seems to be slightly different but the general gist of it is that you answer the questions set by the person who nominated you, you then create questions of your own, and nominate some bloggers.
What was the last film you watched?
At the time of writing it was the first Inbetweeners Movie, but I didn’t actually watch much of it. Before then I believe it was Snow White, however by the time this gets posted it will probably be something else.
What would your Patronous be?
I think this is a very tricky question, you don’t actually get to choose your Patronous so you have to think of something that is like you at your core. I think mine would be a cat, as I’m an independent woman but also a complete homebody.
City break or Country-get-away?
Easily a country get away, I love city breaks but I’m a country girl at heart. I want little villages with cute tearooms. If the country get away included a little beach then i’d be so very happy!
What would be your perfect girls night in?
I’m a sucker for a girlie cocktail night, though I’m the only one that appreciates it. Cocktails, cupcakes, and gossiping is all you need for a perfect girls night.
What is next new recipe that you want to try?
I’ve actually just tried a new one today, Earl Grey cupcakes from my Hummingbird Bakery Cake Days book. My next recipe I want to try from the book is Mojito cupcakes, how can anyone say no when cocktails and cupcakes are combined?
I also have a long list of recipes to try that are meals too, the one I’m most looking forward to trying is Paprika Pork.
When was the last time you fell in love with a book?
I’m sure Cathy has purposely chosen the very tricky questions! I’m struggling to think of the last book I fell in love with, I think it was probably Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
What was your favorite film as a child?
As a child my favorite film was Bambi,I’ve no idea why I love it so much. My favorite Christmas movie was and still is The Greatest Store in the World. I highly recommend that everyone watches is.
Describe your ideal tea room or coffee shop
No doubt about it, there needs to be an open fire with cosy armchairs either side so that you can sit in front of it with a mug of hot chocolate and a good book. I also want there to be a bookcase full of books that people can read while they’re in the shop. I want it to be the sort of place where you can happily get lost for hours, and don’t feel the need to move on so that there’s a seat for someone else. It also needs to have plenty of amazing gluten free cakes.
What are you looking forward too right now?
I’m really looking forward to Christmas, and then little Nemo being born at the end of January!
