LG G3 and Galaxy S5 Getting Android Lollipop in December

Posted on the 27 October 2014 by Anna Peterson

According to an LG representative for the Netherlands and Belgium, the LG G3 is going to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update by the end of 2014. The said representative didn’t specify the exact time frame, but we expect the company to release an official announcement soon enough.

Aside from the LG G3, the LG G Pro 2 will probably get the update, too, but we do believe that’s not where the list ends. Other LG smartphones, such as the G3 S, G3 Stylus, LG G2 and some mid-range phones, should get the 5.0 update as well.

Android Lollipop Coming to the LG G3 Soon

Rumor has it that the Lollipop update will arrive to the Samsung Galaxy S5 before the end of the year (more specifically, in December), too. It seems that the South Korean giant didn’t want to be left behind and trailing after its arch-rival, which is probably why Samsung might have changed the Lollipop release date.

Not too long ago, HTC, Motorola, Sony, and Google announced a list of phones that will receive the 5.0 update. These include the HTC One M8, One M7, Moto G, Moto X, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z2, the Nexus 10, the LG G Pad 8.3, etc.

Are you looking forward to the Lollipop update?
