I'm really not a big college football fan, but I did switch over to watch the BCS Championship game last night and when I tuned in, it was 35-0 Alabama, so much for the Fighting Irish.  Congrats to Alabama.

Letterman & Oprah, Ice & Coco, Daniel & Emily and Lisa & Jiggy!
First thing I watched last night was Oprah's interview with David Letterman. It was held at Ball State University (yes, of course that made me laugh). Ball State is Dave's Alma Mater and is currently the home of the David Letterman Communications and Media Center.  Honestly, it's a pretty impressive building. Also impressive...Dave.  He was funny, honest, and very interesting. I thought Oprah did a great job with the interview. Dave didn't really back away from any questions Oprah threw at him.  He talked about his sex scandal, Jay Leno, depression, marriage and that crazy Joaquin Phoenix interview.  Unfortunately Oprah's director did a crappy job with the camera angles. They kept shooting her from the side, making her look enormous and very cottage cheesy.Gotta say, though, this was one of my favorite Oprah interviews. Good job O!

Next up on the DVR, the season finale of Ice Loves Coco.  I can't believe the season is over already. Coco was in Vegas for her big Peep Show premiere and due to his SVU schedule, Ice couldn't be there. Bummer for you Ice...Coco's outfits were pretty tiny.  It's truly miraculous that they even stayed on her body. There must be some crazy glue or something holding everything in that needs to be held in. Coco danced and pranced and hung upside down from the ceiling all while wearing next to nothing. Obviously this episode was filmed before all of the Vegas controversy went down, but seeing the show, I'm not surprised at all at what happened.  I hope by the time filming begins again (if it does begin again) that everything with Ice and Coco is okay and back on track.  Bump in the road guys.

For some reason, I wasn't really in the mood for Revenge, but I'm the kind of person that when I have something on the "to do" list, it has to get done.  I think the writers realized that the fans are much happier with Daniel and Emily together than apart.  I have no idea who Emily really loves anymore, I really don't.  First I thought that Emily was in love with Jack and using Daniel. Then I sort of thought that Emily really fell for Daniel and then Aidan came into the picture and now I have now idea what to think, but I'm glad that they are headed back together and whether she really loves Daniel or not, I don't even care, I just like them together.  Not sure if Nolan's going back to guys again, he's definitely another one who can't seem to make up his mind.  Still sort of confused about the Darma Initiative or regular Initiative and what they're all about, but I'm guessing that will bubble up enough just in time for the season finale.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was divided into two parts.  The first was the regular show. You'll be proud of me...at least I think you will, I decided to bag the second part, which was the premiere of Lisa's new show, Vanderpump Rules.  I just couldn't do it.  I'm sure the other housewives are just thrilled about Lisa's additional screen time. I bet Andy's getting a ton of texts from all the other housewives bitching that they want THEIR own shows too.  We had tears in the first 5 minutes of RHOBH this week.  The weepy one this time...Brandi.  I know shocking right? Faye Resnick upset her and got her crying. Brandi got her good calling her a "chick with a dick" which I thoroughly enjoyed.  Of course while Brandi and Lisa were shopping and recapping the incident, Kyle and her friend were taking a private yoga class on the cement in her backyard. They did a lot more yappin than down dogs.  I can't stand Yolanda at this point.  I really can't. She and her husband, David Foster (Grammy winning producer in case they didn't tell us enough) just come off so stuck up and obnoxious. Guessing Paul and Adrienne's skin care line never makes it to market since they are still at this point going through with their divorce, I wonder when that storyline will hit the show because so far, nothing's changed with them.

News & Information:

-7.9 million viewers tuned in to Sunday's premiere episode of Downton Abbey.  Pretty incredible numbers for a PBS show or any show for that matter.  In some local markets, the show was the second most watched for the night with NFL taking the top spot.  The premiere was up 96% vs. last year alone.

-Prospect Park has confirmed that One Life to Live and All My Children will in fact go back into production with new episodes.  No information on timing just yet, but the shows are officially a go and most original cast members have signed on, but you know what everyone wants to know...Is Susan Lucci in or not?  So far, no word either way.

-I hate to give Netflix any compliments, but their deal with Warner Brothers is actually pretty smart.  Netflix has entered into a licensing agreement with the studio to be the exclusive service to provide its subscribers with entire seasons of addictive TV dramas like Revolution,  666 Park Avenue, The Following and more.  It's the right way to go quite frankly.  Having the exclusivity will bring subscribers. If Netflix was the only place I could catch up on something I loved, like Sons of Anarchy or Friday Night Lights...I'd have to go back.  It would kill me, but I'd do it.

-16% of US "television households" own tablets, and 56% of US mobile subscribers own smartphones. Within the US smartphone market, Android leads with a 52% market share among operating systems, followed by iOS (35%), Blackberry (7%), and others (6%). Among Americans within TV homes, 86% own a DVD player, 75% own "HD-capable" TVs, 56% own a gaming console, 52% own a digital cable box, 47% own a DVR, 33% subscribe to satellite, and 4% own an Internet-connectable TV.

-For those of you paying attention, my FBFF, Jimmy Fallon decided to grow a "hiatus beard" over the holidays.  Last night, he shaved it off one commercial break at a time, check it out:
