Let There Be Light

By Fairlylight

Whilst there has been absolutely no progress in the spare room since I last shared an update, I’m already getting ahead of myself and have started thinking about lighting options. Industrial Lighting1. Rockett St George – £195 | 2. Idyll Home via Not on the High Street – £139 | 3. Next – £65 | 4. Rockett St George - £99 | 5. Interior Addict – £71.20

Rockett St George seem to have a smashing range of lights, as well as very trendy bulbs (yes, a bulb can be fashionable). However due to the low ceiling in the room and the positioning of the ceiling rose in front of the window, I have to rule out all the options above.

Bearing in mind the harshness of the brick walls and the strong paint colour, I want to add a dash of glamour to the guest room and so I’ve been looking for something resembling a chandelier. I’ll be going for a non-electrical style pendant as generally they seem to be more forgiving to taller types.

So far, the front runner is this little Bobby Dazzler from Laura Ashley.

The bronze metal is ideal for the utilitarian style and the size seems perfect for the room. I have seen similar cheaper styles too on the internet but am not convinced by the quality. I haven’t had a chance to see it in the store yet so am hoping to track one down at the weekend.

Do let me know if you’ve seen anything else that you think would be suitable!
