I had the Gastric Sleeve on March 22, 2012 in Tijuana, Mexico with Dr. Jose Rodriguez-Villareal at the INT hospital through BeLiteWeight.
Dr. Rodriguez and team - He's amazing, professional and seems to really care. He held my hand and was very comforting. He and the other doctors all had excellent bedside manners and made me feel safe, cared for, and secure. I saw all three doctors everyday. EVERY DAY!
Dr Rodriguez sat with us all on the couches on our last day to answer our questions and joke with us a little. You sure don't see that from a surgeon in the States! I recommend him 110%
I was sent home with a typed surgical report and a DVD with my swallow test to give to my primary care doctor.
INT Hospital and Tijuana - The hospital is smaller and more quaint. I loved the colorful culture of Tijuana and was gooing out the window of the van and the hosptial the whole time. The hospital is exceptionally clean and has a comfortable sitting area with a lot of windows. All of the BeLiteWeight staff were on the same floor so we all visited with and supported each other.
BeLiteWeight - They rocked! Everyone was kind and sweet and accomodating. It was amazing to work with so many people who have also had Weight Loss Surgery. The driver, Alberto, was a trip. I enjoyed him very much. He gave us a very colorful tour as we drove through TJ. I would recommend BeLiteWeight to anyone, absolutely. They also were there each day, making sure we had everything we needed and just keeping us company. Very real and down to earth folks across the board.
From March, 2012 on the day of my surgery to October, 2012 I lost 90 pounds and feel great. I know that I will continue to lose the rest since I'm very tall and almost to my goal weight.
