Every girl needs a little leopard print in her life, whether she knows it or not.
Too much leopard print
Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not talking full-on, Bet Lynch levels of animal. Just a subtle, feline purr.
Which is why I got so excited when Godfrey Sports tweeted a preview pic of one of their brand new range of all-in-ones, complete with leopard print stripe up the side. Also available in pink and purple, it is about as fabulous as lycra can ever get.
I’m not ashamed to admit that I begged and pleaded with the lovely folks at Godfrey to let me have one. After a relentless twitter campaign on my part, they finally relented and kindly sent me, straight from the photography session, the very first in the line.

And, wow. Just wow. It is everything I hoped for. Beautifully cut, as you would expect from Godfrey, it is about 10,000 times more flattering than any all-in-one I’ve ever owned. And it has leopard print on it. Did I mention that?
I tried it out in front of the most critical audience there is – my shipmates – on a training night this week and it was received with universal approval (at least nobody laughed in my face, and believe me, that’s a pretty good sign. These girls say it how it is.) I gather there’s a photo somewhere on someone’s phone, but until that emerges from the archives you’ll just have to take my word for it.
And if you have a female rower in your life, well, now you know what to get her for Christmas, don’t you?
