The nation’s leading open adoption agency, Independent Adoption Center, recently opened a new office in New York City to extend its counseling, support and trusted adoption services to birthparents and adoptive parents living there.

Independent Adoption Center (IAC), the trusted leader in open adoption, expands its services to New York City with a new office now open at 79 Madison Avenue, just two blocks from Madison Square Park. The adoption agency is hosting its first adoption seminar there on August 21, 2012, and adoption workshop on August 23 and 24.
“We are so excited to offer open adoption services to birth and adoptive families in New York,” explained IAC Executive Director, Ann Wrixon. “IAC will expand the options available to families considering adoption in New York.”

Independent Adoption Center has been the nation’s trusted leader in open adoption since 1982. A fully licensed adoption agency in California, Indiana, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas and now New York, IAC facilitates adoptions in 49 states and has helped bring thousands of families together.

IAC’s mission is to provide open adoption placement and counseling to birth and adoptive families to ensure that every child grows up feeling loved and supported. It is committed to providing the most comprehensive counseling support available, with a professional staff of licensed social workers who work closely with parents throughout the adoption process.

As the national leader in both open adoption and LGBT/gay adoption, IAC can now extend its full array of experienced, trustworthy and affordable adoption services to new clients in New York, as well as to IAC clients living in New York who previously may have had to work with other adoption agencies to complete the adoption process.
The opening of IAC’s New York office is also important for women there facing unplanned pregnancies, who can speak with counselors local to their area and work through their options with the most experienced adoption agency in the country.

“We want every parent to feel like they have the support they need to explore their options and feel good about their decisions,” said Ryan Schwab, IAC marketing director. “As we continue to expand, we feel confident that we will continue to offer the best in adoption services, holding their hands through the entire adoption process.”
