In what's turning into one of the coldest, wettest, years for RBC Bluesfest in recent memory LCD Soundsystem headlined day 6 in front of a crowd we're used to seeing more of at some of the smaller stages during the daytime.
Whether it was the constant threat of rain or the much cooler temperatures music fans in Ottawa steered clear of Lebreton Flats on Wednesday evening leaving headliners performing to crowds made up of die hard fans, volunteers and media.
Although largely unfamiliar with LCD Soundsystem going into this year's event I had heard the name and decided to check them out. What I discovered was a band with a very unique sound that seems to cross bands like INXS, The Killers and some EDM like Oakenfold or the like.
It's the kind of music that would go well at a party where everyone's hustling and bustling and mingling amongst themselves.
Amongst the other acts on the bill on Wednesday night were 2016 She's the One winner Emma Lamontagne. The Shins, Anderson East (I was looking forward to his set but due to work commitments was late getting to site and missed it completely.), Phantogram, Gary Clark Jr. and more.

Be advised that for tonight's show at RBC Bluesfest there will be no in and out privileges after 6pm.
You can arrive at the event after 6 but once you leave you will not be able to return to the festival grounds!
