Lazy Sunday Morning & an Expanding Waist Line

By Verybusymama @verybusymama
So far this Labor Day weekend has been eventful for many reasons:
1. Little M went to stay with his Oma giving the Mr. and I all day Saturday and most of Sunday to ourselves (yippeeeee!)
2. We bought our first piece of furniture since moving back to the US last year for our new place in Old Town (a dark brown dining table set from IKEA)
3. I no longer fit into my regular clothing (anything you have to button) and I now definitely have to get my maternity shopping on!

Sunday morning began in complete and total silence. No Little M yelling for milk or nagging me to watch Toy Story 3 for the millionth time. I laid in bed relaxing and it was pure bliss. It was like a Sunday morning from the past.
After reluctantly getting up, I tried to get dressed. I say tried, because today of all days, my skirt wouldn't button. I have been wearing my blue MNG pencil skirt over the growing bump, but being nearly 16 weeks pregnant it was about time my belly grew a bit more.
The Mr. said "You are finally showing!" He was pretty excited by it all.

Not having much to wear, I wore the skirt unbuttoned and put on the belly band I had bought from Target last week. At least the band helps keep the skirt in place and allows for some comfort.
After sorting out my wardrobe and expanding waist line issues, we headed out to Killer E.S.P for a morning coffee before heading to mass.
It was super humid and muggy and I just couldn't stop sweating. Plus we walked around even more just weaving in and out of the streets getting to know Old Town more. We even came across an old ice house that is not in use, but is still in its original location.

Personally I prefer older neighborhoods and homes to newer developments and historic Alexandria (Old Town) offers so much to explore - I'm so happy we were able to find a new home here.
But back to my clothing issues - I am going to have to set some money aside to buy at least two pair of jeans and ummm, new undies. The body is a changing and I'm not ready yet!
Despite working, the budget is extremely small for extras and I am looking for the best possible deals on maternity jeans (they are so expensive!) Everything else I can just buy in a larger size and mix and match with what I already have.
Soooo, I ask you...any recommendations for budget friendly maternity frocks?
