Laid Back in Asheville

By Chocolateandoranges
Dinner this evening @ the Laughing Seed Cafe in Asheville, NC.  Asian Fusion salad, the perfect light meal since I overate a bit at lunch (Whole Food Deli Food in the car on my drive up to WV).  I was completely craving veggies and this hit the spot.  Loving Asheville so far, tomorrow is a trip to George Vanderbilt's Biltmore estate!

To follow up dinner, an ombre blood orange.  I guess this is what a slightly underipe blood orange looks like?  I've never seen one half and half like this.  It still tasted good though!

I hit up Earth Fare on my way in from the airport to stock up on fresh fruit and yogurt for my mini fridge.  So glad I did, love having breakfast available in my room (I also brought some instant oatmeal)!  We don't have Earth Fare's in Colorado and I was totally impressed, it's a Southeast chain that is apparently based here in Asheville. A good Sunflower/Sprouts scale store but with a really nice atmosphere.  The natural foods scene in Boulder is so saturated (Sprouts, Sunflower, Whole Foods, and several local stores) that I can't imagine us ever getting another competitor entering the market but it would be great to have one of these if they ever expand west.
