Quick outfit post for today! You’ve seen this skirt many times before and it’s still my go-to skirt for the summer. This look is effortless, but the combination of textures - denim, lace, silk – adds just enough interest so it’s not too boring.
Lace and denim is such a good all-American look, don’t you think? California summers are super hot, especially inland. But our mornings and evenings can get a bit chilly, so this outfit is good for a casual summer night out. I got these Charles by Charles David wedged sandals for $30 on Hautelook and just wanted to use them as a statement piece here due to the bright orange colors. Finding cute, affordable shoes that fit me on discount sites like Hautelook happens once in a blue moon. Pretty awesome when it does.
Are you making the most of what’s left of summer? I cannot believe August is half over. I must go on another hike! Visit the beach! Have more girls nights with cocktails on someone’s porch! Or maybe I’ll just remain in a state of denial for as long as I can.
