L.A. Girl - Swatches & Review

By Marijonails @marijonails
Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!
I have some polishes to share with you from L.A. Girl.  The first is a magnetic polish.  Did you know they had magnetic polishes?  I didn't!!

Uninhibited is a green polish with a metallic finish.  The magnet is at the top of the bottle and can just be lifted off.

The magnet is pretty small, but easy to handle.

Uninhibited applies really well.  It's fully opaque in just one coat as you'll see below.

I added a thick second coat and individually held the magnet above the nail.  It creates a star design fairly quickly.  I didn't expect the magnet to work so well, so I think I held it over the polish a little too long.  Here's how it turned out.

Pretty nice huh?  Though I haven't been that excited about trying any of the new magnetic polishes lately, I thought this one was really cool.  I'll probably be using it as an accent nail in the future.
Next up, I have Uninhibited from their Glitter Addict line.  It's a clear base with small black hex glitter and black microglitter.  It reminds me a bit of Tangled in My Web, but with much more glitter.  It applies really well, and gives good coverage in just one coat.  I decided to layer a coat over Brash Green Machine.

I really like this combo!!  I wanted to use something bright for you to see the contrast and I love it!!  I think this glitter is pretty awesome.  I'm loving black glitter lately.
Finally, I have Polka-Dot from their Nail Art Collection.  It's a set that comes with a dotting tool and three mini polishes.

I think this is such a really cool set and I love the combination of colors in it.  I decided to use Orly Au Champagne as a base for these colors.  I then topped off the mani with Beauty Secrets top coat.

I already have a set of dotting tools and this works just as well.  I think it's a perfect set for someone just starting out with nail art.
L.A. Girl polishes can be purchased at Dollar General stores and online at cherryculture.com.
At Cherry Culture, magnetic polishes are $5, glitters are $2.50 and the Polka Dot Nail Art set is $4.
What do you guys think of these polishes?  Any favorites?  Did you know about their magnetic polishes or polka-dot nail art set?
