Kindergarten Quilt

By Kathybarbro @KathyBarbro
Kindergarten Quilt This idea came from a kinder teacher at my school, and I think it’s a keeper. My only contribution was having the students make their own “sewing” lines on their quilt square.
1. Kinders were already learning about families, so they each were asked to draw something about theirs on a 5.5" square of paper.
2. Drawings were traced with a black Sharpie.
3. The art was colored with crayons.
4. I glued the squares down to a sheet of butcher paper, spread out in five rows of fine.
5. Students drew their own stitch lines around the sides with a black marker.
