I've had a little bit of a nightmare this week, whilst out shopping I decided to treat myself to a new set of Remi extensions. I haven't bought any for over a year as I'm really careful with the care of my extensions, and they last ages!
- But Remi's were on offer in my local hair shop & I thought it was about time I swapped to a longer length (my 14" ones were only a few cm longer than my natural hair)
I've always trusted my local shop, they've never steered me wrong before, however this time they matched my hair up completely wrong & when I got home and checked them against my hair in natural light I realised they were completely wrong!
The dingbat who served me paired my hair with an extension that was far redder/ginger than my actual hair colour!
Unfortunately they wouldn't accept them back or exchange them even though they hadn't been used, which left me £55 down and with a whole packet of hair that didn't match!
My only option was to dye my own barnet! - Something I haven't actually done in over 6 months as I was attempting to go back all natural to help my hair grow... Safe to say I wasn't a happy bunny!The problem now is even after dying my hair, it still doesn't match properly, and in some pictures it even looks like I've accidentally ombre'd my hair!!! I can't bloomin' win! I must say though, now I have gone back to curls rather than a poker straight style, my hair blends well enough for it not to be completely obvious.. I think/hope..
Ok so the photos don't really do it justice, especially the before photos as I pulled the majority of my hair back away from my face, but I promise, I'm not being melodramatic, they really didn't match!! At the very least I am very happy with the length, I'm now in a position where I can opt to have my mid length hair or really long & feel very comfortable with both. (I really don't suit mega short hair! - Which I have been trying to grow for years!) Anyways, how about you? Have you ever had any hair or extension disasters?
