I don’t think there’s anybody who knows how to switch up their style the way Kelis does. The former Mrs. Nas has finally returned after being signed to producer Dave Sitek‘s (member of TV on the Radio) - Federal Prism label. This is the first of what seems to be a complete new sound for Kelis – exploring a live, Afrobeat style, much different from her previous electronic dance album Flesh Tone. Sitek produced this catchy track, titled “Call On Me”. Kelis fans of her first couple of albums should be pleased with this direction, as it shies away from the mainstream and brings back the edgy, eccentric Kelis we got to know in the beginning. Kelis is set to release two albums this year, so keep your ears open for more to some. Check out “Call On Me” below.
