Keeping Your Beloved Pet Beautiful And Healthy

By Lamamma @LAmamma1

As much as we love ourselves, it’s important to treat the animals in our lives with the same amount of respect. Cats are automatically, delicate and almost stylish creatures. They have been so ever since the ancient Egyptians made cats their gods and guardians of the pharaohs, human society has treated cats with love and respect. However, they do get up to a lot of things that even owners don’t know. They are naturally territorial animals, and they often climb things while patrolling and get into clashes with other cats. They can sometimes roll around in the grass and clean their nails in puddles of muddy water. Keeping them happy, healthy and well-groomed is the duty of every owner.

Strong shining fur

Cats much like dogs will shed their fur, as well as secrete oils which act to protect the top layer from water and dirt. Having a rich diet and giving your cat good nutritious food is, of course, the utmost important thing. However, adding shine to a cat’s fur is more of a labor of love. Preferably, after the feline is given a bath, and dried off, you can make the cat a little more beautiful, by shining their coat. Buy high-quality fur protection for your cat, and brush their fur every day. Old fur that is dead ends up lying on the surface, but brushing will force new natural levels of oil to come to the surface, giving a sublime shine to the fur. High-quality dried feed is much better than something wet like tuna if you want the cat to glisten and look radiant.

Health is paramount

Just like we need to keep our general health in good shape, so do our feline friends. Unlike dogs who have dentastix that are supposed to be chewed, which in turn clean the dog’s mouth, cat’s don’t have such treats. Therefore the only way to do so is to open your cat’s mouth physically and brush their teeth manually by hand. Be gentle, and you don’t have to use any kind of toothpaste. Use lukewarm water, and use a soft, fine bristle brush, so you don’t hurt the cat’s gums. Keep little critters off their backs quite literally, is also important so look at some of the best flea treatment for cats. Such little creatures can cause havoc for your cat and drive them around the bends. They’ll become irritated easily, and they’ll begin to roll around on the floor in a bid to scratch their backs. However, with treatment, you can keep their skin care issues in.

Keep their paws trimmed

Cats will claw on furniture as well as trees. They do this to not only strengthen their paws but to sharpen their claws. However, some cats don’t do this, and so it’s left up to you to gently trim their nails. Also, you can spread their paws, and wash gently between their digits. A lot of dead skin and bacteria can form in between the crevices, and so it’s nice to give your cat a good pedicure.

Cleanliness is next to godliness and so why not apply the same logic to your feline friend. Keep their fur shiny and healthy, as well as their skin stretchy, bouncy and strong. Their teeth and nails have to be cleaned and taken care of in just the same light.
