People know Kat Graham from the hit CW show “The Vampire Diaries” as Bonnie Bennett. it seems that fans will now get to see a different side of this actress. She has been slowly branching herself out into music. Last year she released the single “Put Your Graffiti On Me” which has been a huge club hit.
She is now working on her first debut album. The first single off that project is called “Power”. I have to say every time I hear this song I like it more every time. She gave Yahoo! Music the first look at the music video along with some inside thoughts on the video.
So how was she able to come up with the concept for the music video?
“We shot this video a couple months ago in downtown Los Angeles. When I heard this song, I knew that there were different looks to how I could present it. There was the vulnerable Rolla look, the black-and-white ode to ‘90s photography a la Herb Ritts, which we shot for the lyric video. And then there was this fashion brave almost costume-y aspect to the song”
So why did she want these looks to be in the music video?
“I wanted the visuals to match the lyrics. I thought that there was power in being naked with your emotions. Which is why we did the solid-gold look.”
So what was her second favorite look?
“My second favorite look was the breast plate with the black drop.”
Below is the music video to “Power”.
