Kareena Kapoor, the heartthrob of Bollywood married actor Saif Ali Khan today (October 16th) at Saif’s residence in suburban Bandra, Mumbai.
The high profile couple of Bollywood went for a registry marriage. Marriage Registrar Surekha Ramesh told PTI that it was a registered marriage with primary three witnesses – Kareena’s parents Randhir Kapoor and Babita and Saif’s mother Sharmila Tagore.
After the marriage, the couple Saif-Kareena waved at the crowd as husband and wife. There will be a grand reception at a five-star hotel in the city today.
On October 17th, a nikah has been planned for the star couple at Saif’s ancestral house in Pataudi. Another reception will take place in Delhi on October 18th.
The 42 year old Saif is the son of late Nawab of Pataudi and former Indian Cricket player Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore. After the death of his father, he is crowned as the tenth Nawab of Pataudi. He has two children (Son Ibrahim Ali Khan and Daughter Sara Ali Khan) from his first wife Amrita Singh.
The 32 year old Kareena is the younger daughter of yesteryear actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita. She was into a relationship with Shahid Kapoor earlier.
The couple had been dating since October 2007. After five years of courtship, they entered into the blissful life of marriage. The marriage was a private affair with close friends and family members.
