Karachi bloodshed continues, 20 more killed
At least 20 people, including the students of Madrassa, were killed and several other sustained injures in the separate incidents of firing in Karachi on Saturday.
According to police, unidentified motorcyclist gunmen opened fire at a hotel near Madrassa Ehsan-al-Aloom in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block-II in evening, resulting ten people were injured. The injured were rushed to the nearby hospitals were six of them succumbed to their wounds.
Tension prevailed in the area after the incident. SSP Gulshan-e-Iqbal Asim Qaimkhani regarded the incident as target killing and said police have launched the investigation.
In another firing incident occurred near Saifi collage in North Nazimabad where unknown estrangers intercepted a car and sprayed bullets on it in result of which two people were killed on spot. The residents protested against the incident.
Two other men were shot dead in different incidents of firing in North Nazimbabad and Karimabad. A police official was gunned down by unidentified breaded armed men in Jinnah Colony.
In the morning, five people were killed in the firing incidents across the city.
According to details, four people, identified as Babar, Sadiq, Shahid and Munawwar, were shot dead in Pak colony area of the old Golimar near Rexer Bridge. An unknown gunmen was killed in Korangi area
