J.W. Jones High Temperature album release party!

Usually when a Facebook event page says 40 people are attending, it's a Wednesday night, and it's not a good show. That was not the case tonight at the Rainbow Bistro in Ottawa's Byward Market.

J.W. Jones turned up the heat for the release party for his tenth major label record, High Temperature, which debuted at the #8 spot on the US Billboard blues charts. A crowded bar jived and swayed all night long to a steady stream of sweet blues grooves.

The three bands laid down clean blues, both covers and originals, all night long. Keeping the bar, hopping and alive, on what was a cold, dead Friday night anywhere else in the nation's capital.

Local axesmith Mitch Mainville joined J.W. on stage to add a little variety and a lot of passion to a musically rich night at the Rainbow Bistro. A staple of Ottawa live music, do not miss checking out the latest from J.W. Jones. Soul is alive in Ottawa, and it is doing just fine.
