June Favourites

By Bambileigh

Hi sunbeam – it’s officially summer! I wish I’d prepared my legs for this; they’re so pale it’s ridiculous. My arms are quite tanned from driving (I have the dreaded drivers arm!), so they make my legs look even more translucent. It’s suprising that this months favourites don’t include any self tanners really! It doesn’t seem to matter what I do; my self tan always settles into all the pores/hair follicles on my legs so I get that obvious ‘fake tanned’ look… please leave helpful suggestions below and we’ll get on with things!

Sudoku

Yep. Sudoku. I’m not even ashamed. It keeps my brain active and fills those funny little 10 minute breaks I get at work. It also helps me get used to distinguishing 4’s and 7’s, which I somehow get muddled up quite a lot. I’ve been doing wordsearches too, but I get mad when I can’t find a word quick enough.

Radox Coconut Shower Gel

It’s summer and I want to smell like a tropical princess. This helps me achieve that, therefore it’s a favorite. It’s really nice to follow up my shower with a few spritzes of the Body Shop’s coconut body spray too – tropical heaven.

Sunglasses

I’m a fan of sunglasses anyway as they cover eyebags, but I’m quite fond of these ones in particular. I think they’re from Matalan and the frames really suit my face shape. And I think they were only about £4 so they were a bargain too!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

I’ve really been digging this mascara this month. I’ve used it almost every day, and have only switched back to my HD mascara a few times as I don’t want it to dry out! You can read my full review on it here if you wish – everyone’s in love with this mascara at the moment it seems, and for good reason! I’ve noticed that even though it’s not waterproof it’s holding up against all this hot weather really well too.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Permanent Taupe

I used this a few times as eyeshadow but if I’m honest it’s just been sitting it my drawer lonely and waiting to expire. I saw quite a few people say that it was great as a brow product so I gave it a go and haven’t looked back since! It’s been compared to the Anastasia Dip Brow but as I haven’t tried that I can’t compare. I really would recommend this though – it looks so natural!

Film Adaptation – The Fault In Our Stars

*virtual sigh* Do I have to explain? It took me so long to pluck up the courage to watch this after reading the book and I just die every time. I know what’s going to happen, but I sob my little masochistic heart out anyway. I’d almost forgot how brilliantly it’s done, so it got me a little more than usual! I’d recommend this if you just want to be soppy for a couple of hours. It really is lovely, although if you’ve seen Divergent you have to try and remember that they’re not really brother and sister and visa versa! ;)

I feel like I don’t have many favourites this month, but the ones I do have definitely deserve they’re places! Leave me a comment and let me know if we’ve got any of the same favourites this month, and please leave words of encouragement; I’ve been trying to get my Mother to read The Fault In Our Stars for ages!
