July Ipsy Glam Bag {Beach Beauty} Review

This month’s ipsy Glam Bag theme was Beach Beauty.

How fun is that bag? It reminds me of a pool float!

Pros

1. My naturally wavy, but Keratin treated hair started to curl up almost instantly. It hasn’t done that in years.
2. Smells clean.
3. Isn’t overly sticky.
4. Versatile, can be used on wet or dry hair.
5. I get to pay less than the average salon pricing because of the coupon.

Cons

1. My ears & upper back broke out after using. This is the second time I have tried their products & both times they have broken me out after first use.  However, I have super sensitive & anti-change skin, so I’m sure it’s just me.

Verdict

If I won’t break out the next time I use, I would consider purchasing this.  It was fun to change up my style & wear something that survived in this Florida humidity.

Nailtini Nail Lacquer in Mai Tai $13

Pros

1. I only had to use 1 coat! I have never been able to do that with any brand of nail polish before.
2. Super fun Coral color that is perfect for Summer, but can easily be turned into a Fall color.
3. I LOVE the packaging phrases: “Apply Responsibly.” “Great straight or mixed-it’s cocktails for nails.” & “Nailtini. Shake one up.” So clever!
4. I washed a TON of dishes yesterday by hand & did several loads of laundry & I still have no chipping {I used 1 coat of Essie’s No Chips Ahead Topcoat}.

Cons

1. I have to go to a local boutique or Nailtini’s online store to purchase.

Verdict

I would definitely consider purchasing more of their products as long as I can see them in person.  I’m also interested in seeing how their eye & lip-tini’s are!

Pop Beauty Pouty Pop Crayon in Fuchsia Flirt $25 for 6

Pros

1. Super fun, bright pink that’s perfect for Summer.
2. Glides on super smooth.
3. Doesn’t dry out my lips.
4. A slight cooling effect.
5. Easy, twist-up crayon.

Cons

1. I wanted to use my discount to buy the kit, but it is sold out online from the manufacturer.
2. I wish these were sold individually in case the other colors in the kit aren’t your taste.

Verdict

I love the color I received! I want to see what the other shades are like, so hopefully the manufacturer restocks soon.

Pros

1. Gorgeous shades.
2. Super affordable palettes.
3. Great shimmer.
4. Easy too apply.
5. Lasted 8+ in Florida humidity with an eyeshadow primer.

Cons

1. I don’t have any of the full palettes in my possession.

Verdict

I will definitely be taking advantage of the discount to purchase all 3 palettes. They are just so pretty & affordable!

Cons

1. Price tag.

Verdict

I’m definitely interested in trying their other products since we are so sensitive & pale in our household.  The cleaner the sunscreen for us, the better.
