Islamabad High Court (ISC) has adjourned the hearing of former president Pervez Musharraf’s bail plea in judges’ confinement case till June 4.

The two-member bench of court comprising Justice Riaz Ahmed Khan and Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, has issued the notices to relevant parties.

The former military ruler in his application has said that no clause of Anti Terrorism Act applies on the judges’ confinement case. He questioned that how a person who has severed as the head of armed forces and the president of country can be a terrorist.

According to application, the individuals upon the statements of whom the challan has been prepared against him are not the effected persons, adding no such order or proof is available on record which proves that the applicant had issued the directives to detain the judges. The confinement of judges is a bailable offense under the Clause 144 of the constitution and hence, his bail plea should be approved.
