With employment at a staggering low for the African-American community (statistics have it  over 16%), the Congressional Black Caucus recently decided to start a new initiative to help start curbing the lack of jobs for people of color in the United States.

The CBC will be hosting several town hall meetings and job fairs in key major cities where they will provide a platform to offer tips and networking for those in need of work. It is estimated that over 100 employers (including Fortune 500 companies) will be at the job fairs.

Although, the first CBC meeting will be at Cleveland State University, the site also lists other locations – so be on the look out for a city near you.
