In our career of shooting weddings, we’ve shot weddings for couples who have known each other a long time. But at 18 years of knowing each other, I think Jessica and Rick take the award. From the time they met, it has been a journey for these two as they fell in and out of love, ultimately realizing they can not live without each other anymore. As they danced to the classic “I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You,” the words perfectly accompanied their First Dance, and their dance in life that lead them to their wedding day 18 years later. As Jessica said she would tell her kids about how to know when you’ve found the one, “Sometimes you have to realize what you’ve lost to realize what you had.” And it took some time apart over the years for Jessica and Rick to realize they can’t help falling in love with each other over and over again.
One of the hits of the wedding day was Jessica’s dessert bar at the reception. Though she is a lawyer for her day job, she has a passion for baking and creating pieces of art out of dessert. She made all the goodies and candies herself, and the way she decorated the whole table, it truly was a piece of art!
