Jemma and Paul — a Vintage Wedding in Lancashire

By Claire

With a floral table plan, birdcages and pretty details inspired by a vintage theme, as well as the loveliest Benjamin Roberts dress, Jemma and Paul’s wedding is ever so pretty. The photography is gorgeous and you can see more by clicking the link at the end of their wedding report.

Congratulations Jemma and Paul, and thank you Philip Bamber for submitting such a beautiful wedding for me and my readers. Enjoy! Claire xxx

The bride and groom: Jemma Smith and Paul Gardner

Wedding venue:

Bartle Hall, Preston, Lancashire

Wedding photographer:

Philip Bamber Photography

How would you describe your wedding style?

We opted for a vintage themed wedding

A little about the wedding ceremony:

We had a civil ceremony at Bartle Hall in the beautiful Windsor Suite. It was a relaxed atmosphere.

Which readings did you choose?

We had non-religious readings, one being ‘On your wedding day’

Tell us a little about your wedding venue styling and details:

We used chair covers by Creative Cover Hire and accessorised the room with our own birdcages

Wedding music and entertainment:

Throughout the ceremony and reception we had a pianist named Ken Robson, who is absolutely fantastic. At night we had the resident DJ named Simon Gee.

What did you both wear?

My wedding dress was Benjamin Roberts and I loved it! My shoes were Faith. My headpiece was by Halo & Ellis.
The groom wore a hired suit by Moss Brothers

Memorable wedding day moments:

My memorable wedding moment was my mom reading a reading at the ceremony, she cried from start to finish

:)

Wedding day advice:

My wedding day advice would be to just enjoy the day

Recommended wedding suppliers:

I would recommend Philip Bamber Photography, he’s brilliant, he definitely knows his job and he seems to genuinely love what he does

:)
[note from Phil: I didn’t ask them to say this, honest!!!]
