I appreciate the opportunity to review the following costume from buycostumes via Tomoson. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
I had ZERO idea what I wanted to be for Halloween this year until buycostumes offered a costume for me to review.
I had a $50 budget & was able to choose from their Adult Female Fairytale & Storybook Characters & Adult Female TV & Movie Characters categories.
After browsing through the huge selection, I decided to go with the Jem & the Holograms Deluxe Costume.
I used to LOVE watching Jem growing up & when we still had cable, I would watch it on HUB.
My husband was the only other person at the Halloween party we went to who even knew who she was though. {Cue feeling old!}

Pros
- I definitely felt like I had stepped out of an 80′s cartoon with the hot pink material, sparkles & shoulder pads!
- I thought the price tag of $35 was super fair because I received the dress, belt, earrings & glitter covered microphone.
- The costume was actually very comfortable & did not itch which is rare for prepackaged costumes!
- The earrings were foam clip-ons & I kept forgetting I had them on because they were so light!
- Super fast shipping.
Cons
- While it was thicker material than most costumes I have had in the past, I would definitely recommend wearing a tank top & leggings/tights underneath so you’re not flashing people.
Verdict
I had so much fun reliving childhood in this costume! My daughter has decided to make it a part of her dress-up collection because she loves pink & sparkles too.
