Mr. D and I went to see the new Woody Allen movieBlue JasmineI liked it a lot but I'm not sure If i loved it Cate Blanchett is at the top of her formShe's credible as a pampered, privileged woman who got cheated on by her husband and goes completely nuts when left destitutePopping pills , drinking, having fits of delusion , flashbacks of her previous life, talking to herself - -In her desperation she ends up staying at her sister's crummy apartment in San FranciscoHolding on to what is left of her previous life- Her Louis Vutton suitcases, Roger Vivier shoes her Chanel's jacket ,ect..- Flying first class - Things are looking up but something happened and she's completely bowls overBut i told you enough
It's worth seing because Woody gives us his brilliant, clever, incisive dialogues and he's not trying to shove any moral down our throats
He's depicting human nature and turn of events in the worst possible ways-
But i was expecting more, it was complexed, witty but not enough meat on the bone to my liking - He could have gone further -But an excellent movie to see!
