January Stitch Fix #10 Review
Do you receive happy mail? You know the kind of mail that isn’t a bill or junk? There isn’t much of that type of mail in my mailbox these days. Except my Stitch Fix! It’s the happiest kind of mail! I did the dance of joy when my 10th Stitch Fix arrived at my door in early January.

Not this one. If you’ve never heard of Stitch Fix let me give you the rundown.
Stitch Fix is a monthly (or more often or less often) clothing subscription service. If you are someone who hates to shop or just doesn’t have the time then this service is perfect for you. When you sign up with Stitch Fix you will fill out a questionnaire about your personal style. Your stylist will then send you 5 pieces of clothing for you to try on at home-no leaving the house!
The fee is $20 per fix, however, when you make a purchase that styling fee is deducted from your total. If you have a perfect fix and you keep all five items, you get a 25% discount on your total order. You can also set the price points of your fix. I have my prices set to the lowest setting. Once you try on your items and decide what stays and what goes, you just toss the unwanted items back in the pre-paid return envelope they send with every fix. It really doesn’t get much easier than this.

I love these little cards! I keep all of them to use as reference as I put together my outfits. Your fix gets better and better each time because you can send your stylist notes and feedback on what you liked or didn’t like. My stylist is Georgia and she rocks!

I have no fewer than 8 tops or tanks with navy blue and white stripes. I’d say I’m on the verge of a problem, except I really do wear all of them. When I saw that I received another striped top my first reaction was to send it back. But I don’t have a striped top with elbow patches! Therefore this striped top is completely different than all the other striped tops I have. Keeper!

Polka Dots! My stylist checks my Pinterest board to get a sense of my style and to look for any specific items that might be available in my size. I was so happy when she sent me this sweater. This is a surprisingly thick sweater. But not bulky. And it ran really big. My usual Stitch fix size in tops is medium and this was just too big. But lucky me, Stitch Fix now offers exchanges on sizes. When I checked out I just clicked on exchange, clicked a small and they sent me a new one. Perfect fit.

I requested some jeans and a few tops but I also said that anything althlesure works. My stylist sent this incredibly soft, cowl neck sweatshirt and I love it. I can wear this with jeans or with my yoga pants or even my pjs (yup that happened!) I have a lot of gray in my wardrobe already but this was too soft to pass up.

These go great with the sweatshirt she sent and a few of the tunic tops I kept from my past fixes. These leggings are really opaque and not see through. Trust me I checked from every angle! I liked that they were leggings that I wouldn’t wear to work out (although I suppose I could) A long sweater or tunic and these are part of my daily uniform.

She sent me a pair of Pistola brand jeans last month ( you can see that review here ) and I sent them back because they were too long in the rise. This pair of jeans is the same brand and this brand must not be the best fit for my body. They were ok but a little too low rise for me. But I liked the side zip on the ankle and the cropped style. If I wear them with a longer tunic top then the lower rise isn’t much of an issue. I have them styled in this pic with a wedge and my Marc New York Faux Leather Ponte Jacket from last months fix. I feel kind of biker babe in all this black.
But I kept these anyway. Why? Since I was keeping everything else in my fix it was basically like getting these for free. I will try pairing them with flats and maybe a more preppy top and decide later if they are keep or go. If I decide to get rid of them I can sell them on one of the Stitch Fix Buy, Sell or Trade Groups I belong to on Facebook.
