Though other songs have been making the rounds on soundcloud for awhile this is the second official single from lo-fi bedroom rocker Jackson Scott’s debut album on Fat Possum (Melbourne—out July 23rd in the U.S) following last month’s sing-a-long “Sandy”. ”Together Forever” starts out with a huge rock ‘n’ roll chord before giving way to Jackson Scott’s childlike vocals as he sings about his attempts at distractions as a coping mechanism to rejection, “gonna start anew won’t you come, pretty please? … try to think about happy things all the time”. Continuing on in its finely crafted lo-fi style the midtempo song builds to a roaring climax including Dinosaur Jr.-type guitar solos before eventually fading out.
