And mild or severe, it looked like endometriosis is no barrier to having a baby for women undergoing IVF.

But since a cohort study differs from a clinical trial, it will still be hard to credit IVF for the sole success, because cohort studies do not say how many infertile couples would have a baby sans IVF. It will also be hard to tell, particularly in the cases of women with past pregnancies who later went for IVF.
In other words, figures alone will not verify exactly how much IVF treatment improved their chances to conceive. As far as The Guardian can say, there is no study-past or present-that focuses on the effects of IVF on endometriosis, alone.
